Montreal Door Doctor driver ready to build on his four in a row

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama platinum class points leader Jesse Lazare will be back behind the wheel of his Door Doctor Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car this weekend at Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

Lazare heads into the penultimate weekend of the 2016 campaign with a 38 point lead. “This weekend is like any other for me – the goal is to win both races,” Lazare said. “We have been on a really good roll for the last couple of weekends, but I still think the team is getting stronger. We just have to go out and show that this weekend.”

Lazare has built an impressive season so far with nine wins, and his current consecutive win streak sits at four heading into the weekend – the last one by a margin of 13.79 seconds.

“The team has given me a great car the last two weekends, it has been a joy to drive,” Lazare added.

Lazare heads to COTA to avenge the problems of last year that saw him lose his title hopes after questionable contact in one of the races. “I don’t think about last year, I concentrate on the here and now,” Lazare said. “But it is a good reality check to know that in this sport anything can happen at any time.”
